Just a Thursday.

Buddy is getting worse and worse. He can hardly get off the couch at times and then every once in a while he will hobble outside to watch the kids play. He is the best dog ever and love to spend time with the kids even if they are playing with friends and only stop to pet him for a brief moment. He knows he is so loved!

Buddy and Daphne have never fought and he has always treated her like the princess she thinks she is. He will always move over to let her have a piece of food on the floor and she respects his place in the house. I decided to snap some photos of them together and put her next to him on the floor. She went over and started kissing him, he stuck out his tongue to kiss her back. It was really sweet.

Although this is a great picture of them together it is bittersweet. You can see just how skinny he is. Jordan, Madison and I are feeding him off of a spoon now. Whatever we eat we make sure to give it to him too.

Here over his left eye is one of his tumors. It appeared overnight, like most of them did.

"Take my picture!"

The 3 Stooges!

Here is Elliott waiting for the 10th time for me to blast off a hydorocket that NEVER worked, what a disapointment!

I didn' think running down the driveway with the truck was such a great idea and warned him many time, but he assured me he would not get hurt...

Here is the aftermath of running the truck down the driveway. He went face first and skinned himself up pretty bad :-(

Last Pictures with Buddy.

We had a great day at the school with all the activities today, but when we got home we saw how bad Buddy was. He was really struggling to move and had not gotten up all day. Since Grandma was over Allan and I decided to take him to the vet to see what we could do for him. His surgery "went well" and we never in a million years expected this. If we could have seen that he would have never made it 2 weeks after surgery we would have never done it. It is horrible how he suffered with the pain from the surgery.

Madison said she didn't want a picture with Buddy because she knew why we were taking them. She was so upset. I told her if she didn't have just one she would regret it when it would be too late. So she willingly went next to him for this sad shot :-( What's worse is the background shows his blood on the pay kitchen. He was still bleeding from the drains put in during surgery.

Madison was able to perk up after everyone else was taking pictures and I'm so glad she did. These are really cute of him and her together.

Thankfully the vet told us to wait another week to see how he is doing. I couldn't stop crying from the minute we pulled up and the vet could see Buddy had a week or so of life left. Buddy refused to look at us while we were at the vet. He buried his head in the corner and would not respond to us until we were back in the waiting room, and he actually smiled, he wasn't ready to go yet. The vet gave us some pain pills for him and said to wait it out and enjoy the last days together. We all knew he wouldn't get better but nobody wanted the end to come.

School is almost out....

Today I am in Madison's class for a pizza party and then going up to Jordan's class for an ice cream party, lucky me! I have enjoyed this year and loved helping out with all the parties and field trips too. Madison will still have her same cluster of teachers next year, but Jordan is moving up to middle school...dundundunnnnnn. Hard to believe, MIDDLE SCHOOL! I wonder if she will still want me in the class room?

All the teachers are so sweet and Jordan was allowed to come to Madison's party, and Madi went to hers, it was a nice morning. All half days this week so we left at noon after the parties. It is weird to have the have the girls home before Elliott.

Madison with Ms. Jamason.

Jordan and Ms. Ragibur.

When we got home Allan and Grandma were ready to go, we all had to get Elliott and go back to the school so that Jordan could sing the National Anthem at the 8th grade gradauation. She was excited, but nervous too. She did really well and I was so proud to have her do it. It is a great experience for her, and I know she enjoyed it.

Mud Soup!

A bag of potting soil, a pot, shovel, and the hose equals hours of fun!

"Look what I made!"

After he realized it was all over him his first question was....Is this Gymboree? Of course it was, but that's ok because I'm enjoying my day in the beach chair while he plays.

Madison is finally reading more and more....here is the proof!

Never goes to bed....

Mix Match Day!

Continuing with spirit week it is mismatched day....

Madison was so happy to go crazy with all her favorites!

Jordan wanted no pictures and was mad because she had to wear my shirt that she tye dyed the day before. The original shirts Allan bought home from his store were mismarked and barely fit Elliott. Of course I didn't know that till 10 minutes before school started so she took my favorite white tee shirt....which was way to big and she thought she looked ridiculous in. I thought it was cute for mismatched day, and she really had no other options because it was her field day as well and her class team was tye dye.
